EACH TICKET COMES WITH A BURGER AND BEVERAGE VOUCHER

The Dirt Cup was created in 2023 by IWCE and Knappett Industries with a shared goal: to give back to the local community while scoring goals on the ice. This now-annual charity hockey game features Team IWCE vs Team Knappett in a friendly, family-friendly showdown that brings the community together in support of four Nanaimo-area charities.

In 2026, funds raised through the Dirt Cup will benefit four organizations doing incredible work for children and families in our community: KidSport Nanaimo, Nanaimo Child Development Centre, Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation, and Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation.

New this year, the Dirt Cup will be part of a back-to-back hockey night at Frank Crane Arena, following an earlier game by the Nanaimo Clippers. The Clippers will hit the ice first, with the Dirt Cup game puck drop at 7:00 pm. Doors for Dirt Cup ticket holders open at 6:00 pm (unless attending the Clippers game), setting the stage for a lively, high-energy evening of hockey and community spirit.

We invite you to join us on March 28, 2026, for a fun night out featuring hockey, burgers, raffles, a 50/50 draw, and more — all in support of these important causes. In just three years, the Dirt Cup has raised $230,000 for youth-focused charities in our community. This year, our goal is to raise $150,000, continuing to support four incredible organizations that provide essential services and opportunities for children and young people in need.
